The short version: use the site in good faith, remember we’re an independent nonprofit — not the Church, not your lawyer or accountant — and let us know if something’s wrong.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Gathering Israel website, content, and services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
Gathering Israel is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are not owned, operated, sponsored, approved, or endorsed by the Church or Intellectual Reserve, Inc. Views or content from Gathering Israel are solely our own.
The Services exist to share faith-promoting content about Jesus Christ and to help interested people connect with official Church resources or request contact with full-time missionaries through appropriate channels.
The Services are not:
You agree not to:
All original content on the Services — including text, graphics, logos, video, audio, code, and the “Gathering Israel” name and marks — is owned by Gathering Israel or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes, with attribution. For any other use, please contact us.
Scripture citations, images, video clips, and other materials drawn from official Church sources are the property of their respective owners and are used for faith-promoting reference, with attribution. We do not claim ownership of Church materials, and we seek permission for redistribution where Church guidelines require it.
If you send us a message, testimony, question, or other content, you grant Gathering Israel a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Services (for example, anonymized testimony quotes in donor updates). You represent that you have the right to share the content with us. If you’d like us to stop using something you shared, email us.
Donations to Gathering Israel are voluntary, non-refundable gifts to an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-deductible in the U.S. to the extent allowed by law. Donations to Gathering Israel are not tithing. Tithing is paid to the Church through your bishop or online at ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Recurring gifts continue until you cancel them; you can cancel anytime by contacting us.
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party sites and tools (for example, payment processors, advertising platforms, email tools, and official Church resources at ChurchofJesusChrist.org). We don’t control those sites, and we’re not responsible for their content or practices. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
Content on the Services is offered as faith-promoting reference and invitation, not as authoritative doctrine, personal revelation, or counsel. For spiritual guidance, please speak with local Church leaders, full-time missionaries, or the Lord directly. For legal, tax, medical, financial, or mental-health matters, consult a qualified professional.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on the Services is complete or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gathering Israel and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Services will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you’ve donated to us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold Gathering Israel harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
We may change the Services or these Terms at any time. When we change the Terms, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
